Democratic hypocracy...

So in Belfast one of the many, many, many parades (Whiterock) is rerouted, and according to the DUP’s Nigel Dodds this decision "rewarded intransigence and the threat of violence".

Intransigence, the buzzword of paisley and his cronies, just in case you don’t know what it means, it means inflexibility, stubbornness, narrow-mindedness or obstinacy.

Well do the words NO! and Never show much flexibility, some of paisley favorites.

Well all I can say is this, DUP stands for Democratic Unionist Party, as in democracy ; the belief in freedom and equality between people, or a system of government based on this belief, in which power is either held by elected representatives or directly by the people themselves.

But if Big Ian (ian paisley,dup member) and his mates don’t get there way “democratically” they stir up tension, winge and block roads if they feel like it.

This is not the best example of democracy I have ever seen, infact it seems quite childish, but that is just my opinion.

I always thought “democracy” was about the will of the people, but the will of the people that live on the planned route of this particular parade was against it taking place on their doorsteps, but still we have some old fashioned Ulstermen who think they should always get their way.

That’s fine, but please don’t you think it is time you dropped the D (democratic) from DUP, it’s false advertising, it may have a nice ring to it but at the end of the day, the only time the DUP is democratic is when they get their way, when democracy fails them they stir up tension and peoples feelings to get their way undemocratically.

The reason I am posting this is because i couldn't get a taxi tonight, many taxi firms would not take the risk as they were afraid their taxis would be high jacked and burnt (or at least so I was told), and all because some people didn't want some other people who don't live in their area walking through it ,but they wouldn't take no for an answer.
